Friends, this is your friend Naresh
interacting with you. In these difficult times of the Pandemic, I found the inspiring verses from the Shri Bhagwad
Gita (and translated them into English): the primary purpose of Bhagwad Gita is
to illuminate for all humanity the realization of the true nature of divinity;
for the highest spiritual conception and the greatest material perception is to
attain love of God.
For my friends in other countries: the Bhagavad Gita or Gita is a part of the epic Mahabharata. It has
700-Sanskrit verses by Lord Krishna. It is a compilation of dialogues between
Pandava prince Arjuna and Lord Krishna during the Kurukshetra war. The holy
book of the Hindus highlights the fundamental truths of life that have been
inspiring the past and the present of everyone.
These words have given me a lot of strength
and courage during this difficult phase of the Pandemic or the COVID 19, the
worst times of our lives, when many of us must have been under depression.
For the benefit of all, I wish to share with
you the same and I pray to Almighty to give us strength to overcome these
times, when we are all suffering from the unexpected and uncertainty at all
time. With my following talk and the words as recited by Supreme Lord Krishna
Himself in the Holy Book, if I am able to bring some peace in the life of even
one person, I will feel that I have achieved something in life.
These verses will surely heighten your
perception and will help you look at your worries and your challenges in life
in a different way.
Powerful
reminders:
Ø To
not get attached to your worldly possessions
Ø To
not burden yourself with the worry of things you cannot control
Ø Do
not identify too much with the world the way we see it.
Now the powerful verses as translated in
English:
Ø
Why do you worry without cause?
Ø
Whom do you fear without reason?
Ø
Who can kill you?
The soul is neither born, nor
does it die.
Ø
Whatever happened, happened for good. Whatever will
happen will happen for good. Whatever is happening is happening for good.
You need not have any regrets
for the past. You need not worry for the future. The present is happening.
Ø
What will you lose that you cry for? What did you
bring with you which you think you have lost? What did you produce, which you
think got destroyed?
You did not bring anything!
Whatever you have, you received from here. Whatever you have given, you have
given it back only here.
Whatever you took, you took
it from God and whatever you gave, you gave it to Him.
Ø
You came empty-handed and you will go back empty
handed.
Ø
What is yours today belonged to someone else
yesterday and will belong to someone else tomorrow.
You are mistakenly enjoying
the thought that this thing is yours. It is this false happiness that is the
cause of all your sorrows.
Ø
Change is the eternal Law of the Universe:
What you think of death is
indeed life.
In one instance you can
become a millionaire and in the other instance, you can be steeped in poverty.
Ø
Yours and mine, big and small:
Erase these distinctions from
your mind, then everything is yours and you belong to everyone.
Ø
This body is not yours, neither you are of the body.
The body is made up of Fire, Water,
Air, Earth, and Ether and will disappear back into these elements, but your soul
is permanent. So, who are you then?
Ø
Dedicate yourself
to God:
He is there to be ultimately
relied upon. Those who know this support are forever free from fear, worry and
sorrow.
Ø
Dedicate yourself to the existence of Almighty:
Whatever you do, do it as a
dedication to God; this will bring you the tremendous experience of joy, inner
peace and freedom.
Ø
Hell has three gates: lust, anger, and greed.
Ø
You have the right to work, but never to the fruit
of work.
You should never engage in
action for the sake of reward, nor should you long for inaction. Lord Krishna
told Arjuna “Do your dharma
and perform your karma or your work in this
world, Arjuna, as a man established within himself – without selfish
attachments, and alike in success and defeat.”
Friends, if we religiously follow these
verses, recite OM regularly, we are sure to be strong and face the challenges that are disturbing
our lives. Praying for health and peace for all.
As for me, these words have given me a lot of
strength and courage to face the uncertainty of the Pandemic , brought me out
of the depression and helped me live a peaceful life.
Thanks for Reading and Honestly Trying to Implement the same, in your Day to Day Life.
